1.1 understand the arrangement, movement and energy of particles in each of the three states of matter: solid, liquid & gas

Solid: Particles are very close together, regular arrangement. They stay in one position. Definite shape and volume, not compressible.

Liquid: Particles are partly close together, irregular arrangement. They slip and slide over each other. Indefinite shape and definite volume. They are not compressible.

Gas: Not close together, random arrangement. They move quickly/bounces/moves freely. Spreads out the fill available volume and the volume depends on the size of the container. They are compressible.
